These calculators do not calculate VAT, tax liabilities or refunds automatically. Enter non-recoverable duties or taxes in other costs where appropriate. Expected return costs are an allowance; actual returns can change revenue and fees.
How the calculation works
Customer payment = selling price + postage charged. Percentage fees apply to that full payment, plus your fixed fee. Monthly overhead is divided by your expected order count.
Profit = customer payment − fees − product, delivery, packaging, ads, returns allowance, other costs and allocated overhead.
Break-even total payment = non-percentage costs ÷ (1 − fee rate). Target total payment = non-percentage costs ÷ (1 − fee rate − target margin). Postage charged is then subtracted to show the item price.
Inputs are simplified assumptions. Check the actual fee basis, any fee caps and current terms with your marketplace or payment provider.
