Choose three listings with traffic but fewer orders. Check the main photo, item details and the promise you make about dispatch.
THE SOURCED NEWS
What happened?
Etsy published its current Holiday HQ guide on 5 October. It brings together shop and listing preparation, and says more seasonal guidance will be added.
The guide recommends reviewing the About section, banner, listing clarity, relevant use of all 13 tags and accurate processing and shipping information. It suggests starting with listings that attract traffic but convert less well. This is seasonal guidance, not a guarantee of higher sales.
SELLERBUNDLE PRACTICAL ANALYSIS
Answer the buyer’s next question
Open one listing on a phone and read it as someone seeing the product for the first time. Can the buyer tell what is included, how big it is, what it is made from and when it is likely to be dispatched? Check that the photographs show the actual item clearly and support the description.
Keep the title readable and use details that genuinely describe the product. Search terms are useful when they match what you sell; a repeated block of unrelated keywords does not help someone decide whether the item fits their needs.
SELLERBUNDLE PRACTICAL ANALYSIS
Make the busy-period promise realistic
Look at the work needed for a normal order and for a personalised one. Account for production, packing and any planned time away. Check the delivery service and destination before giving a promise that depends on another business’s turnaround.
Make one change, note the date and review the relevant shop data after a sensible period. Avoid changing everything at once if you want to understand what helped. Our suggested listing review is a manageable routine, not a substitute for Etsy’s current rules or your own customer information.
