Marketplace updates / UK Business / UK · Whatnot sellers; account rollout varies

Whatnot splits cancellations and refunds into weekly account-health checks.

Whatnot’s 14 October UK update separates cancellation-free and refund-free rates in Account Health, alongside on-time scans. Weekly views cover the last 12 weeks. Premier Shop continues to use its separate three-month evaluation, and rollout is expanding over the coming days.

THE SOURCED NEWS

What is changing?

Whatnot is replacing the combined defect-free measure in Account Health with separate cancellation-free and refund-free rates. On-time scanning remains a third measure. The new view evaluates Sunday-to-Saturday weeks and displays the last 12 weeks.

Premier Shop still uses its separate three-month evaluation. Whatnot says updated definitions can affect future evaluations without changing past eligibility. Recent scan figures may also be projected while shipment data catches up. Read the definitions beside the rates in your own account as the rollout reaches more sellers.

SELLERBUNDLE PRACTICAL ANALYSIS

SellerBundle: match the fix to the problem

Keep a simple weekly order log with separate columns for stock mistakes, buyer requests, packing issues, item-description problems and shipment scans. Use those records to investigate the metric that moved, rather than treating every cancellation or refund as the same event.

For example, repeated unavailable-stock cancellations suggest checking inventory before a show. Repeated condition complaints suggest reviewing descriptions and the way items are demonstrated. These are practical investigation prompts, not a prediction that one change will automatically improve a score.

SELLERBUNDLE PRACTICAL ANALYSIS

Keep the evidence with the order

Review cancellation requests through the platform’s supported process and keep the relevant order information together. Record dispatch and scan evidence as you pack and hand over parcels. Check the current official definitions before deciding which events count toward a rate.

Use the weekly view to follow the process you changed, and compare similar trading weeks where possible. A quiet week and a busy show can produce different-looking percentages. Our stock planner can help organise quantities; platform account health and programme eligibility remain determined by Whatnot’s own records and rules.
