Pathways to Work fund: check the 26 October bid deadline.

DWP’s Pathways to Work Innovation Fund lists 26 October as its application closing date. This is a deadline reminder for a scheme announced earlier, not a new launch. It backs tests of new ways to help disabled people and people with long-term health conditions move towards or progress in work.

THE SOURCED NEWS

What the current bid pack confirms

The UK-wide fund offers up to £60 million overall. Businesses can apply alongside other eligible organisations. Individuals, including sole traders, can participate only through a partnership, not as the lead applicant.

The pack page was first published on 28 September and updated on 23 October with an application-portal link. Applications need supporting budget and milestone documents. Payments are normally made after completed milestones; an exceptional upfront mobilisation payment is not guaranteed.

SELLERBUNDLE PRACTICAL ANALYSIS

SellerBundle: check the fit before the paperwork

Start with the people the proposed project would help and the barrier it would address. A product idea or service should have a clear purpose beyond obtaining funding. If you cannot explain the benefit simply, pause and resolve that question before submitting.

For a proposal already in preparation, compare the final form with its attachments. Make names, amounts and delivery responsibilities consistent. Ask the person responsible for each part to review their commitments, then use the official submission instructions.

SELLERBUNDLE PRACTICAL ANALYSIS

Plan the cash timing as well as the idea

Map when the project would spend money and when claims could be paid. Keep possible funding separate from money already available to the business. A promising application is still uncertain until an award and its terms are confirmed.

Keep the submitted version and confirmation together with your review notes. If this round is unsuitable or has closed, the useful next step is a better prepared proposal for a relevant future opportunity, rather than reshaping an unrelated business expense to fit.
